Overview
I’m currently working with one of the most established and high-performing private equity platforms in Asia, and they’re looking to bring on a top-tier investment professional at the Associate level for their Investment team in Singapore. The firm manages a combination of RMB and USD-denominated funds, with a significant capital base and deep institutional relationships. They continue to be highly active across growth and control investments, partnering with founders and management teams to scale high-potential businesses across Asia.
The Role
You’ll be exposed to the full deal lifecycle, from sourcing and diligence to post-investment value creation, working closely with a senior team known for its collaborative culture, entrepreneurial mindset, and high standards. This is a role for an investor who wants to move beyond just modeling to true partnership with portfolio companies, supported by a platform with significant dry powder and clear long-term growth opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the full deal lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, and closing
- Building sophisticated financial models and performing detailed valuation analysis
- Executing both growth and control investments across diverse Asian markets
- Partnering with founders and management teams to drive post-investment value creation
- Coordinating with advisors and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction execution
- Contributing to the investment committee process with high-quality research and insights
Requirements
- 2–4 years’ experience in Private Equity or Bulge Bracket / Elite Boutique investment banking
- Technical Skills: Strong financial modeling, due diligence, and deal execution capabilities
- Commercial Mindset: Ability to think like a long-term investor and assess fundamental value
- Communication: Comfort engaging with management teams, advisors, and senior stakeholders
- Languages: Fluency in English and Mandarin is essential for fund and market coverage; additional Asian languages are a plus
- Presence: Ability to operate within a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and high-standard culture
