Leading London based hedge fund with a global footprint are now seeking a Windows Security Engineer to join their growing Information Security team which forms part of the wider tech team. This opportunity will suit someone with deep expertise in Windows environments and experience in contributing to cross-platform projects. You will also play a part in optimising and the evolution of the Windows estate and broader infrastructure.
Role profile
- Support and maintain Windows servers and desktops
- Skilled in Windows Security, Active Directory and Group Policy
- Contribute to patching, vulnerability, software projects and system updates
- Work on provisioning and access management processes
- Lead cross-platform projects, working on Windows, Linux and cloud initiatives
- Lead infrastructure upgrades and migrations, as well as disaster recovery for security
- Police systems' health to ensure high availability and critical performance
- Play a key part in systems documentation and best practice roll-out
Ideal experience
- Windows Server and Desktop
- Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- VMware and Hyper-V
- Cloud - Azure and AWS
- Infrastructure-as-code, such as Terraform or Ansible
- Networking and Security
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or STEM subject
- Linux operating systems
