The role
A London-based organisation is looking to bring on an AI Engineer to help develop next-generation intelligent systems powered by advanced RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and agentic AI approaches. This role offers the chance to work on impactful, real-world applications at the intersection of modern AI and robust software engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced RAG pipelines with hybrid search, re-ranking, and optimised retrieval strategies
- Build and deploy conversational AI agents with robust multi-turn dialogue and contextual memory
- Develop end-to-end voice AI systems integrating STT, TTS, and real-time audio processing
- Optimise LLM performance through fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and evaluation frameworks
- Architect scalable AI infrastructure, including model serving, monitoring, and observability in production environments
Requirements
- Experience working on complex AI systems spanning conversational AI, agentic workflows, and voice applications
- Strong focus on production-grade engineering, scalability, and real-time performance
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including architecture, security, and data governance
- Exposure to modern AI tooling, LLM frameworks, and cloud-native infrastructure
- Ability to experiment with emerging AI techniques and influence technical direction
