A leading multi-asset trading firm in London is seeking a talented Full Stack Software Engineer to join its growing technology team. The Role
You will be a key contributor to the development of high-quality software systems that support complex trading strategies and business operations. This role is highly collaborative; you will work directly with traders and quantitative researchers to build the tools they use to analyze and execute in global markets. The focus is on building scalable backend services in Python while delivering intuitive, data-rich frontend interfaces in React.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance trading applications
- Building robust, low-latency backend systems using Python
- Developing modern, responsive frontend interfaces using React to visualize real-time data
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including traders and quants, to define technical requirements
- Improving system reliability and performance to handle high-frequency data streams
- Contributing to the full software development lifecycle from inception to production
Requirements
- Experience: 2+ years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in finance or a high-performance tech environment
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Python (Backend) and/or React (Frontend)
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field is preferred
- Mindset: A motivated individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in code quality
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for direct interaction with business stakeholders
