Compensation: $200,000 - $400,000 + Bonus

Overview
My client are seeking a knowledgeable Platform Engineer to work on their low latency Linux estate.
The role focuses on low latency Linux infrastructure and developing and improving solutions and technology around this.
The Role
Low Latency Infrastructure: Designing and supporting ultra low latency Linux environments within trading.
Architecture: Building, designing and architecting automated solutions for scalable deployment across private and public cloud infrastructure.
Platform Engineering: Improving performance, reliability and scalability across the Linux estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Linux Engineering: Managing and optimising Linux systems.
- Configuration Management: Working with Chef, Puppet or Ansible.
- Containers: Supporting Kubernetes, Docker or Podman environments.
- CI/CD: Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Programming: Working with Python, Ruby, Rust or Go.
- Kernel Tuning: Understanding kernel tuning and kernel bypass techniques.
- Networking: Low latency networking experience, including Solarflare.
Requirements
- Linux: Strong Linux experience.
- Automation: Experience with configuration management and CI/CD.
- Programming: Experience with one or more of Python, Ruby, Rust or Go.
- Low Latency: Experience within ultra low latency environments.
- Networking: Understanding of Solarflare and low latency networking.
Desirable
- IaC: Experience with Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Pulumi or Bicep.
- Cloud: AWS or GCP experience.
- DR: Disaster Recovery knowledge.
- Storage: Experience with Block or Blob Storage.
- HPC: High Performance Computing experience.
- FPGA: FPGA exposure.
