Overview
My leading Banking client is looking for a talented and motivated individual to be the key Product Owner for Oracle EPM across the organization. This is a newly created role within a rapidly growing business, offering a high-profile opportunity to own a critical piece of the firm's financial technology architecture.
The Role
As the Vice President and Product Owner, you will be the bridge between finance and technology. You will lead the implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of Oracle application systems to ensure maximum operational efficiency and data integrity. This is a "full-lifecycle" role—you will be responsible for the strategic roadmap, the technical health of the system, and providing high-level functional support to end-users across the bank.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Ownership: Acting as the primary authority and owner for Oracle EPM across the global organization
- Implementation: Leading full-lifecycle implementations of Oracle EPM/ERP modules from design through to go-live
- System Maintenance: Monitoring and maintaining application systems to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency
- Functional Support: Providing expert-level support to finance and accounting end-users to resolve complex system issues
- Strategy & Roadmap: Partnering with senior stakeholders to align Oracle capabilities with the bank’s evolving financial reporting needs
- Process Optimization: Continuously identifying opportunities to automate and improve financial planning and consolidation workflows
Requirements
- Technical Expertise: Exceptional hands-on experience with Oracle Financials EPM
- Track Record: Proven experience performing at least one full-lifecycle implementation of Oracle EPM or ERP
- Industry Experience: Direct experience working within the Financial Services sector is essential
- Domain Knowledge: A deep understanding of core finance and accounting principles (e.g., consolidations, budgeting, and forecasting)
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and support diverse user groups
- Level: Ability to operate at a Vice President (VP) level, demonstrating both technical depth and leadership capability
