Role: Platform Engineer (Junior & Senior Levels Being Considered)
Client: Quant Fund – Global collaborative firm run by passionate Computer Scientists
Salary: Up to 500,000zł + bonus + package/perks
Location: Warsaw, Poland (Hybrid/Remote - 3/4 days onsite)
Overview
My client is a dynamic global quant fund that is building cutting-edge systems from a beautiful office. In this position, you will design, implement, and oversee the maintenance of multiple robust platforms & tools whilst sitting within the SRE/DevOps team. (A full and detailed job spec is available)
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Design: Design and implement robust infrastructure platforms to support high-frequency trading.
- Tooling: Develop and oversee the maintenance of internal tools to improve system performance.
- System Reliability: Work within the SRE/DevOps team to ensure 24/7 stability of mission-critical systems.
- Innovation: Research and integrate emerging technologies to keep the firm at the cutting edge of low-latency computing.
Successful Candidate Attributes
- Linux Expertise: 1+ Years of experience working with Linux environments.
- Observability: Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Development Skills: Strong scripting or development ability in at least one language (e.g., Python or Rust).
- Configuration Management: Experience with infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools.
- Specialized Knowledge: Previous experience with HPC (High-Performance Computing).
